Size Guide

Measure your Chihuahua's neck and the widest part of the chest with a soft tape and match them to the sizing chart. If they land between two sizes, follow the chest and choose the smaller one.

Made for Chihuahuas

Built for a tiny frame, a slim neck and a small chest, not one-size-fits-all proportions.

Chest-First Fit

Moves leash pressure off that slim neck and onto the chest.

3 Leash Points

Switch clip points to suit the walk — front to steady a puller, back for relaxed strolls.

Freedom to Move

A Y-shaped front leaves the shoulders free for a natural, easy stride.

Two Chihuahuas wearing the Navea Chihuahua Harness

Shaped Around the Way Chihuahuas Are Built

Most harnesses are cut for an average dog, then sold as “one size fits most”. On a Chihuahua that means gaping straps, a chest panel that swamps a tiny body and a harness that's easy to wriggle out of. The Navea Chihuahua Harness starts from their actual shape — tiny frame, slim neck, small chest — so it sits where it should and stays there. Less rubbing, less shifting, more good walks.

Finally Fits His Tiny Frame

“Every harness we’ve tried looked huge on my Chihuahua or would shift around when he walked. This one actually sits close to his body without feeling tight. Such a difference!”

No More Slipping Out

“My little girl is an expert at backing out of harnesses, so I was always nervous on walks. Once we adjusted this one properly, it stayed exactly where it should. I feel so much more confident taking her out now.”

So Much Better Around His Neck

“I hated seeing regular harnesses pull around his tiny neck whenever he got excited. This one feels much better positioned across his chest and he seems way more comfortable in it.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Why a harness made specifically for Chihuahuas?

Chihuahuas don't have average proportions: a very small frame, a slim neck and a small chest. Harnesses sized for “small dogs” are often still too roomy, so they gape or rotate. Ours is cut around the Chihuahua build, which gives a steadier, more comfortable fit than a generic harness.

What are the 3 leash attachment points for?

They give you options depending on the walk. Use the front point to steady a Chihuahua who pulls, or the back point for relaxed everyday strolls — whatever suits your dog's habits and training.

How do I choose the right size?

Weight is only a rough guide — two Chihuahuas of the same weight can have very different chests. Measure the neck and the widest part of the chest with a soft tape and compare them to the sizing chart above.

Between sizes? The chest measurement matters most — go by the chest and size down.

Still unsure? Email your Chihuahua's measurements to contact@hellonavea.com and we'll recommend the right size.

Can my Chihuahua back out of the harness?

Once every strap is adjusted properly, the harness sits snug and secure, which makes backing out much harder. Check the fit before each walk — you should be able to slide two fingers under each strap, no more.

Will it fit a very small Chihuahua or a puppy?

Size S starts at a 34 cm chest and a 24 cm neck. If your Chihuahua measures less than that, the harness will be too loose to be secure. Email us the measurements before ordering and we'll tell you honestly whether it will fit.

Does it work for smooth-coat and long-coat Chihuahuas?

Yes. The straps adjust at the neck and the chest, so you can set the fit on a smooth coat or over a longer one. Measure rather than guessing and use the chart to pick the size.

What if it doesn't fit?

No worries — reach out within 30 days and we'll arrange a swap or refund.

How long does shipping take?

Most orders arrive within 7–12 business days, and you'll get tracking by email.

How do I clean it?

Hand wash with mild soap and warm water, then let it air dry completely before the next walk.
