Chihuahuas don't have average proportions: a very small frame, a slim neck and a small chest. Harnesses sized for “small dogs” are often still too roomy, so they gape or rotate. Ours is cut around the Chihuahua build, which gives a steadier, more comfortable fit than a generic harness.

What are the 3 leash attachment points for?

How do I choose the right size?

Once every strap is adjusted properly, the harness sits snug and secure, which makes backing out much harder. Check the fit before each walk — you should be able to slide two fingers under each strap, no more.

Will it fit a very small Chihuahua or a puppy?

Size S starts at a 34 cm chest and a 24 cm neck. If your Chihuahua measures less than that, the harness will be too loose to be secure. Email us the measurements before ordering and we'll tell you honestly whether it will fit.

Does it work for smooth-coat and long-coat Chihuahuas?

Yes. The straps adjust at the neck and the chest, so you can set the fit on a smooth coat or over a longer one. Measure rather than guessing and use the chart to pick the size.
