Size Guide
Measure your Havanese's neck and the widest part of the chest with a soft tape and match them to the sizing chart. If they land between two sizes, follow the chest and choose the smaller one.
Made for Havanese
Built for a small, sturdy body and a long, silky coat, not one-size-fits-all proportions.
Chest-First Fit
Moves leash pressure off the neck and onto the chest.
3 Leash Points
Switch clip points to suit the walk — front to steady a puller, back for relaxed strolls.
Freedom to Move
A Y-shaped front leaves the shoulders free for a natural, easy stride.

Shaped Around the Way Havanese Are Built
Most harnesses are cut for an average dog, then sold as “one size fits most”. On a Havanese that means straps that slide around on a silky coat and a harness that never sits quite straight. The Navea Havanese Harness starts from their actual shape — small, sturdy body, long silky coat — so it sits where it should and stays there. Less rubbing, less shifting, more good walks.

What Owners Say

Finally Works With Her Long Coat
“Finding a harness that fits without bunching up all her fur has been such a pain. This one sits really nicely over her coat and stays centred throughout the entire walk.”

Doesn’t Slide Around Anymore
“Our Havanese is constantly moving and every harness we’ve owned eventually ended up twisted to one side. This one actually stays where I adjusted it. Huge improvement.”

Comfortable Without Flattening His Coat
“I was worried a secure harness would be bulky under all his hair, but this one surprised me. It feels light, doesn’t seem to rub under his legs, and he happily wears it for our longer walks.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Why a harness made specifically for Havanese?
Havanese don't have average proportions: a small but sturdy body, a little longer than it is tall, under a long, silky coat. Harnesses sized for “small dogs” tend to slide around on that coat or sit off-centre. Ours is cut around the Havanese build, which gives a steadier, more comfortable fit than a generic harness.
What are the 3 leash attachment points for?
They give you options depending on the walk. Use the front point to steady a Havanese who pulls, or the back point for relaxed everyday strolls — whatever suits your dog's habits and training.
How do I choose the right size?
Weight is only a rough guide — two Havanese of the same weight can have very different chests. Measure the neck and the widest part of the chest with a soft tape and compare them to the sizing chart above.
Between sizes? The chest measurement matters most — go by the chest and size down.
Still unsure? Email your Havanese's measurements to contact@hellonavea.com and we'll recommend the right size.
Can my Havanese back out of the harness?
Once every strap is adjusted properly, the harness sits snug and secure, which makes backing out much harder. Check the fit before each walk — you should be able to slide two fingers under each strap, no more.
Will it tangle a long coat?
The straps are fully adjustable, so you can fit the harness to the body rather than cinching it down on the coat. Any harness can tangle long hair if it's left on all day — take it off after walks and give the coat a quick brush where the straps sit.
Does it fit a full coat and a puppy cut?
Yes. Measure against the body, under the coat, and re-check the straps after each groom — a freshly trimmed Havanese needs them a little tighter.
What if it doesn't fit?
No worries — reach out within 30 days and we'll arrange a swap or refund.
How long does shipping take?
Most orders arrive within 7–12 business days, and you'll get tracking by email.
How do I clean it?
Hand wash with mild soap and warm water, then let it air dry completely before the next walk.
